Lionel spends many hours getting to know his clients and nurturing his relationships.
He takes a firm stand in the belief that everyone deserves to receive fair treatment and objective advice in the financial services industry.
He is a Curator Bonis and has been appointed by the Master of the Supreme Court to handle the affairs of those who are unable to oversee their own financial matters. His caring nature and empathy are characteristics that have enabled him to succeed.
Qualifications
Lionel has been in the financial services industry since 1979. Apart from being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ®, he is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Business Management and he has a Higher Diploma in Tax Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. Lionel also serves on the Department of Trade and Industry’s Consumer Affairs Committee for Unfair Business Practices.
Many people know Lionel from radio talk shows on Cape Talk and Talk Radio 702 and he has built up a reputation of being a financial planner of the highest calibre and integrity. He won the prestigious ‘Financial Planner of the Year’ award in 2005.

Lionel is married and has two sons and three grandchildren. His reading keeps him abreast of financial news in the industry. He and his wife are keen hikers embarking on numerous trails from the Wild Coast and Eastern Cape. He appreciates an exciting soccer game and a good game of rugby. Lionel has a genuine love for people.
